Saturday Feb 18 was Matt's 27 birthday. He started out his celebrating a day early. His mom and brother came over to spend the weekend with us and got here around 2 on friday. We went to Ace in Ephrata and bought Matt a Traeger BBQ. He was so excited to get this really cool BBQ! Friday night he grilled us some amazing steaks (beef from "Boss" Faw!) Then Saturday morning Matt and Juan went golfing, Juan is trying out for the MPHS Golf team and wanted to get some pointers from his brother. We ended the day with pizza at Chico's in Moses Lake with Shaun and Andrea Elliott and Aaron Reimer! Chico's pizza is amazing, and it blew my diet out the window for the day... So the cookies and cream ice cream cake was just the thing needed to really blow me off track. After dinner and cake we went to Lake Bowl in Moses for some family bowling. Matt, Jacoby, Juan and I all bowled, while Nana had Makinsey duty! Sunday morning Matt and I headed to church and sunday school while Jacoby and Makinsey stayed home to get some one on one time with nana and uncle Juan. When we got home Matt fired up the Traeger and made some beef jerky and goose jerky, he also made chicken on it that evening. Angela and Juan left on sunday afternoon. The week is kinda a blur... They go by pretty quickly. Matt is all done with girls basketball now, but today is the start of QHS Baseball! Matt is super excited to see what this season will bring.
The kids and I went to Western WA this weekend. We left on friday afternoon and hit the pass right when the snow was starting to fall, so it was a slow drive on the pass but we made it safely. Saturday morning we spent some time with Papa Dean and Grandma Ella, and saturday evening my parents had a house full of guests wanting to see the kids. I don't think they really cared about seeing me, it was all about the kids. Jacoby had all the adults singing their ABC's and counting with him. He was even calling people out if they were not singing or counting with him. It was pretty funny! Yesterday was Kayla Simon's bridal shower that I hosted in Sumner. It was amazing! She has a great group of family and friends. (and she made out like a bandit!) We got back over the mountains around 4:30ish and just relaxed.
Some tidbits about the kids:
Jacoby-almost 29 months- he will tell you he is "potty training", we are working on this. Some days are good, some days aren't so good. This morning he pooped on the toilet all by himself, with out me asking him! He knows is ABC's, can count to 12, knows his whole name, tries to spell his name, knows lots of shapes, knows his colors but wont always let you know he knows them. most favorite sayings right now "Me, I don't know" and the dreaded WHY?????
Makinsey- 7.5 months- sits by herself, gets up on all fours and will rock or push herself backwards. still no teeth, eats pretty much anything you put in front of her, peas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, pears, peaches, applesauce, avocados, bananas we tried yogurt melts this weekend and she likes them, but doesn't get them small enough before trying to swallow them...

New Years resolution fail
So it seems I am not very good at this blogging thing. I sit down with the best of intentions to fill everyone in on what's happening but then I get side tracked with diaper changing, feeding, playing, cleaning... All things that are a part of life I guess.
Matt's basketball season is just about over. Then he will jump right into baseball.
Jacoby is working on this potty training thing... Some days are really good some days are really bad. His vocabulary increases everyday, and continues to amaze me with the things that come out of his mouth!
Makinsey is working on crawling. She gets up on her hands and knees and will rock or she will move her hands or she will move her knees, but never both at the same time. We are close though!
I am just taking in everything life has to offer me! I am enjoying this time home with my kids and the joy they bring me as well as the other kids I get to watch! We are looking at the possibility of starting a preschool learning center in Quincy so that has been exciting to get that process started. We will see what is in store for us now!

Snow!
We finally have snow! I love the snow! I was wishing and hoping for a white Christmas but that didn't happen!
This past weekend Kayla and Matt came from Portland to visit. Matt and Matt went hunting, Kayla and I got to spend some much needed girl time! Angela also came from Marysville to spend some time with the kids. She graciously watched both kids on Saturday for a few hours so Kayla and I could go to Wenatchee. Monday was Makinsey's 6 month well child check up she is healthy! 18 lbs 6 oz and 26.5 inches. She got 4 shots and did pretty well with them. Tuesday morning Angela left on the train and had an extra little traveler with her. Jacoby went with to spend some time with grandparents in Marysville. So far he has been able to spread his time with nana and grandpa tait, papa dean and grandma Ella, and papa woody and Amma! He has been having fun, but I think I am ready for him to be home! It gets pretty quite around here with a very busy 2 year old!
Matt is at his first basketball game with the 7th grade girls. Hope they will come home with a W! My parents are supposed to be bringing Jacoby back tomorrow and then spend the weekend with us. I am hoping the weather will allow for them to get here safely, once they get here the weather can do what it wants. I just want them here!

Just going about life
I am learning that we lead a pretty boring life. Our week consisted of work, Matt has started coaching junior high girls basketball so that keeps him busy until 6 during the week. I have been watching 2 other kids during the week which is fun and can be a challenge. Jacoby likes to push everything to the limit and press all of my buttons at once! Makinsey is getting closer and closer every day to sitting on her own. She will be 6 months on the 14! A couple pictures of the kids, jacoby eating krum kake and Makinsey smiling at her brother!

New year new shot at blogging...
Happy New Year!
My thought for 2012 is to try and blog once a week! I'm not going to say daily cause I know I will fail so if I say weekly it might happen!
Christmas brought us both sets of grandparents (uncle Juan too!) Brittany's parents got here on wednesday the 21 and Matt's parents got here in the wee hours of the morning on Friday ( they were on the train and the train hit someone in Monroe so that held them up about 4 hours) We enjoyed Leavenworth and Wenatchee with everyone on Friday and then church and soup on Christmas eve. Christmas on Sunday was full of family love and laughter! Matt's parents ( nana and grandpa) and uncle Juan left in the morning on the 27. My parents stuck around and enjoyed some more time with the kids!
My birthday was dec 31 the big 27! We had a nice get together with the Knodels, the Faws, kacey and kiely maybe someday the Kiehns... And Boudia Kayla had to work we missed her. We did a deep fry party (not sure I can eat anything fried for a long time!) The new year was brought in with a bang (Matt's fireworks). We enjoyed our time and hope everyone else did as well! All of our company left on the 1st and we were lazy all day long!
I will do my best to keep everyone updated weekly!

July 5- Our 3rd Anniversary headed to Portland had a very nice dinner and walked around the city.
July 6- Matt goes fishing with Matt Boudia Kayla and I head out to do some shopping! We visit Todd and Kallen and new baby Rylan.
July 7- Head back to Marysville then back to Quincy. Juan came with us.
July 9- Will and Nicole Derting get hitched! The wedding was beautiful! Mom and Dad made it back from North Dakota, stop by the house to see Jacoby and hang out with Juan.
July 10- I was feeling a little off all day, not sure how to explain it but I just was not feeling normal. Matt headed to Spokane for a conference for work. I Went to the ER at the Quincy hospital to have my blood pressure checked, it was high. They basically told me to get out of this hospital and call labor and delivery. They are a small hospital and they DO NOT deliver babies! I then went to the fire station to see if they could check it as well, they did twice and it was still high so they encouraged me to call labor and delivery as well. I went home and called the on call dr. He told me to either come in that afternoon (Sunday) or call my dr first thing Monday morning. With my mom, dad and grandma at my house as well as Juan I knew that Jacoby would be taken care of, so sunday evening my mom and I took off to Moses Lake for some monitoring and blood work. Monitoring was great and blood work came back ok, but not great so they sent me home and told me to keep my dr appt with my regular dr on wednesday. My mom and dad left on Monday morning leaving Grandma with me to help with Jacoby.
July 13- Regular dr appt, She took one look at me and said to go to the hospital for and ultrasound and they would call me to tell me what to do next. I went to the hospital they did my ultrasound and I went home. Got a phone call telling me to go back to the hospital on friday for another ultrasound and monitoring, and that I would probably be having the baby that weekend. I said ok and hung up the phone. Received another phone call right after that from the nurse telling me they changed their mind and I needed to go to the hospital on Thursday. Matt got home that evening, we chatted about my appt and the one the next day.
July 14- We got to the hospital around 10am. I got checked in and up to Labor and Delivery. They got me in a room and all hooked up to the monitors. Ultrasound came in and did my ultrasound, lab came in and did my blood work. Matt ran a few errands in Moses Lake. About 12:45 the nurse came in and told me that my labs were not good and that I would be having my csection that day! I called Matt he called all the family and he came back to the hospital. At about 4pm they got me all ready to head to the OR and at 4:45 pm Makinsey Jo Tait was born. 11 lbs. 10 oz. 22 inches long. Our parents did not make it for the birth but they were there within a few hours.
July 17- We were released from the hospital. My dad and Angela left on the 16th to go home, but my mom and grandma were still there to help me!
July 18-22 Is a blur! It was wonderful having my mom and grandma here to help me. Matt and Juan did great with Jacoby. My dad came back on friday the 22nd to hang out and get my mom and grandma. They left on the 23rd.
July 24- Matts grandparents Dean and Ella came over to see us and help me around the house. Matt left today to go to Lind for harvest. Dean and Ella helped me clean the house top and bottom and helped me get the last few things packed. They left on the 27th.
July 29- Mom, dad and Grandma came back over to help with the big move. Angela also got here to help as well.
July 30- Load trailer and get as much stuff out of the house as we can. Only the necessary items stay. Matt come home from Lind to help with the move as well.
July 31- We MOVE! With the help of family and friends it was done! I took the roll of directions person during the unloading process. My parents and grandma headed home after we got everything moved in.
Now into August!
Aug 1- Angela and Juan leave- the first time it is just our family of 4!
Aug 1-5 Matt stays busy all week doing things around the house. Trimming tress, spraying weeds, cleaning up some garbage left. I try to get the house in some order. Bedrooms and kitchen first then the "daycare" area of the house, all while having a newborn who is nursing like crazy and a 22 month old who loves to help and get into things he probably shouldn't be getting into!
Aug 6- Staci's birthday! Jacoby went for his first tube ride behind a boat (with dad of course!)We had a blast roasting weenies on an open fire.
Aug 7- more work around the house
Aug 8- LarsonAllen had a family bowling night so the 4 of us headed there. Jacoby was able to bowl for the first time. He enjoyed that as well, but Matt and I agree that it is a lot of work to take him bowling right now. Matt headed back to Lind to finish harvest. (The Millers rented his combine out to the neighbors for the past week that is why he was able to be home with us for so long in the middle of harvest! It could not have been at a better time!)
Aug 9- my first day home with 2 kids! and it was a success! I need to continue working on the "daycare" area of the house so I am ready when the licensor comes out! It is a little difficult to balance 2 kids and trying to get an area of the house up to the state standards! I should probably be working on that rather than sitting here typing this. (that is why it has taken me 3 days to get this done to be posted!)
Life is always packed full of things to do and people to see! My Aunt, Uncle, Grandma and Mom will be back this next weekend to visit. Now that I am home I will get better about this blog thing! (You've heard that before!)

Once again...
I am horrible at this blogging thing...
June 1st Jacoby turned 20 months old. It is crazy to think that in just 4 short (busy!) months we will have a 2 year old.
I am 32 weeks pregnant today. That means in 8 weeks we will have a baby. It will actually be sooner than that, but we have yet to get the for sure date. Baby Girl Tait is doing great. She is measuring on the big side, but that is to be expected due to my diabetes. I am being taken out of work as of June 17. That will be my last day having to travel 45 miles to and from work each day. It will also be Jacobys last day of daycare. We have enjoyed having him with Allison, and all the kids, but it will be nice to spend some time with him one on one before his little sister arrives.
The annual Lind Combine Demo Derby is this next weekend, which means lots of friends, lots of catching up and hopefully another win for Team Jaws... My mom and dad will be coming over with their motorhome to enjoy the weekend with us and to help out with Jacoby. Dave and Angela will also be in attendance. Angela and Juan spent Memorial Day weekend with Jacoby and us. It was nice to see them and have the extra hands to entertain the little boy.
We planted a garden at the house we will be moving into August 1. I haven't been out to see it but Matt said it looked good the last time he was out there. I attended an Orientation put on by the Department of Early Learning to start the application process of getting an in home daycare set up. I will not be returning to work after Baby Girl Tait arrives, but will be working from home caring for our kids and a few others.
I know I say this every time, but eventually I will get better at posting more often!
Have a great weekend!
